Student Organizations
Student Organizations and Activities are a vital part of your college experience. In addition to intellectual enrichment, Williston State College provides a number of activities and organizations to further develop your social, cultural, interpersonal and physical abilities. Students are encouraged to participate in the various on-campus activities and organizations. Below you will find the organizations that are currently active on campus. If you are interested in joining any of the student organizations please contact the advisor for more information.
Agri-Business Club (PASO) |
The Agri-Business Club is about setting up lifelong contacts and becoming familiar with the broader views of agriculture and introducing different job opportunities that people would never think of before attending Williston State College.

Mission
The purpose of the club is to promote beneficial relationships between members of the club and firms in the agribusiness community, and to promote the exchange of ideas between students and faculty. |
Membership
Membership is open to students interested in agriculture. The club supports area agriculture by assisting at local events. The club is affiliated with the National Post-secondary Agricultural Student Organization (PASO), and North Dakota PASO (NDPASO). Members particpate in local, state and national PASO activities (job interview, public speaking, farm management, livestock judging, ag mechanics...) The club conducts contests for the Northwest District FFA Association. Members also sponsor activities on campus, field trips, and support 4-H activities. |

Computer and Technology Club |
The Computer Club is a club to all students of Williston State College interested in computers . The club invites all students with computer majors to learn more about their roles in computer science fields. For more information about this club please visit their website http://it.wsc.nodak.edu/

The purpose of the organization is to promote an interest in computers to the students at Williston State College. |
Membership
Membership is free to the students of Williston State College interested in the field of computers. Students work on many projects as a team during the academic year. A field trip, in or out of state, is planned during the Spring semester if appropriate funds are available or have been earned. |

Astronomy Club |
The Astronomy Club is where they discuss current astrological phenomena such as comets, visible planets and astronomical current events. They often discuss topics of interest and schedule observing sessions.

The goal of the Astronomy Club is to further exlpore the stars, planets, comets, and anything to do with the night sky. |
Membership
Members can be from both the student body and the
community.
Meetings
They meet the 2nd Monday of each month at 7pm in the Green Room. April they will actually meet April 6th and have a short talk and use the telescope to observe if the weather coooperates. |

WSC Auto Skills USA Club |
The Skills USA is a national education organization for college students enrolled in a tradee, industrial, technical, or health occupation such as Automotive or Diesel Technology, Physical Therapist Assistant, Massage Therapy, or Nursing.

Membership
Membership is free to the students of Williston State College interested in the field of auto and diesel. Students work on many projects as a team during the academic year. |

The Physical Therapist Assistant Club (PTA)
is an organization established to encourage, support and uphold the science of physical therapy, to represent the common interest of the members of the physical therapy profession, and to play a part toward the improvement of the health of the community.

Student Nurses Organization (SNO) |
The Student Nurses Organization
(SNO) provides support and direction for students enrolled in Pre-Nursing courses and the Nursing Education programs at Williston State College

SNO provides leadership, instruction and mentoring opportunities on local, state, and national levels to those students interested in the nursing field. |
Membership
All nursing students are eligible for membership in the Student Nurses Organization. This organization actively promotes and supports nursing and healthcare/wellness at Williston State College and in the community. Members organize and work on projects throughout the year. |

Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) |
The Alpha Rho Iota Chapter of Phi Theta Kappa is a national honor society of the two year College.

Mission
To provide Phi Theta Kappa members opportunities for scholarships, honor studies, leadership development and civic engagement. Your membership will be recognized by other colleges, universities, and potential employers. |
Membership
Phi Theta Kappa honor students with a GPA of 3.3 or higher may receive one or two credits by earning points in the four hallmark areas established by the national group: Scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service. The hallmark areas must emphasize the topic chosen by the national group on a yearly basis.

Student Senate |
The Student Senate is the student's governing body.

Mission
The Student Senate looks to represent the views of the entire student body at Williston State College. The Senate acts as a connection between the student body and the college administration through active collaboration with faculty. |
Membership
Members of the Senate are elected by Williston State College students at large.
The Senate coordinates all student functions and activities. Rules and regulations about the student body and its organizations are delegated to the Student Senate for deliberation, and all decisions are subject to college administrative approval. |

The Teton Echo is a forum where students can express creativity through poetry, fiction, nonfiction, photography, graphics and drawing. |
Mission
As the Annual creative writing publication, The Teton Echo celebrates the creative spirit of Williston State College students. Students contribute to the design and production of The Teton Echo. |
Members
All students from Williston State College can contribute to The Teton Echo. Williston State College funds the publication internally and distributes them free to both students and the general public. |
