Course Description: This course is designed to engage the student in the process of reading, and to improve the student's reading efficiency by prescriptive assignments in basic reading skills using reading texts and computers. The course includes pre-testing, individual evaluation of needs, and developing strategies for comprehension , vocabulary, spelling, reading style and critical thinking skills.

Grading Policy: S-Satisfactory or U-Unsatisfactory

Hours: Class time is individually arranged around the student's schedule and meets twice a week for 50 minutes for a total of 28 class periods.
