ADDICTION STUDIES
Associate in Arts (AA)
Addiction counselors work in a variety of settings to educate and treat individuals and families experiencing substance abuse. Counselors in North Dakota must have a nine month internship in addition to a bachelor’s degree. This addiction studies curriculum provides general education courses needed for students when they transfer to another institution to complete a degree in various areas such as addiction studies, chemical use/abuse awareness, or addiction counselor training.
