“Do not go where the path may lead,

go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.”

                                                                                                Ralph Waldo Emerson

Americans continue to live by this premise every day.  As we investigate the different works, we have the opportunity to see through the eyes of some of the greatest thinkers and observers who have lived on this continent.  These writers often foresaw the issues that plagued our country long before the ideas became popular or entered the political mainstream.  The writers are the seers of the times.

You, too, can become an interpreter for our time.

“If only the sun-drenched celebrities are being noticed and worshiped, then our children are going to have a tough time seeing the value in the shadows, where the thinkers, probers and scientists are keeping society together.”
