Massage Therapy Curriculum
Williston State College offers 2 educational options in
Massage Therapy: A Certificate option or an Associate in Applied Science
option.
The Certificate Program (850 hours)
This option is designed primarily for individuals
coming into the program with prior college education, particularly in other
health/science related fields. At a minimum, the student must have
completed the pre-requisites of 2 semesters of Anatomy/Physiology. The College views these individuals as students seeking to add massage skills to
their current knowledge base.

The Associate in Applied Science Degree
This program is designed primarily for
individuals with no prior college education or those seeking a stronger
background prior to establishing their own businesses. Students will
complete other course work, in addition to those required for the Certificate
program. These courses are primarily designed to strengthen the individual
in being an independent practitioner.
