I. Motivation Level Highly Motivated, very organized, excellent time management skills Motivated, can be organized, manage time fairly well. Need prodding to get started, not very organized, have difficulty getting things done on time without significant prodding.
II. Reading Enjoy reading a wide variety of topics from different sources: books, newspapers, magazines, journals, etc. Read on a regular basis, mostly light reading. Seldom read.
III. Technical Skills Proficient with the computer. Regularly use word processing, email, surf the net, upload and download files. Somewhat proficient with word processing, surfing the net, and emails. Not very proficient. Use email occasionally, have surfed the net, typing skills quite limited.
IV. Writing Excellent background in writing. Enjoy writing, have very good writing skills, like to communicate using this medium. Average writing skills. Can communicate effectively, but prefer oral communication. Limited background in writing. Write only when required. Do not like this medium for communication.
V. Class Setting Independent learner, can follow written instructions, like to study independently, prefer expressing views in writing over oral class comments. Like more oral communication with instructor and peer students. Like to have directions and assignments explained verbally. Can work independently, but like class discussions. Need classroom setting, need peers and instructor to motivate and keep me on task.
VI. Schedule Busy work and family schedule or distance does not allow attendance in regular classroom setting. Busy, but have time to attend campus classes if scheduled appropriately. Prefer and have the time to attend campus classes.
VII. Time Available for Homework Can schedule 15-20 hours per week for homework. Can schedule 8-15 hours per week for homework. Can schedule 1-5 hours per week for homework.
